How the Neston property market compares with neighbouring areas of the North West.

 

 

 

 

Neston is a nice historic market town with a good community feel. . It’s a very good place to buy a property, it’s a sometimes expensive but desirable area consisting of Burton, Puddington, Little Neston, Neston, Ness, Parkgate and Willaston.

 Neston is a short distance from the A540 Chester to West Kirby road, it nestles into the Cheshire countryside providing a peaceful setting for its regular, historic Friday Market.

 Parkgate is down the road which is very pleasant and popular for walks, its distinctive architecture is an indication of its historic roots and many of the old coaching houses provide for local pubs and places to eat. It’s got excellent transport links for Chester the Wirral and Liverpool. Free car parking makes it an attractive place to stop and its close proximity to the Wirral Country Park provides access for walkers and cyclists alike.

 There are a matrix of local walks that link the surrounding villages with the town and the spectacular views of the Dee estuary and the Welsh hills is always within range. There is a good diverse range of good quality housing stock for buyer, tenant, landlord or investor.

Most of the sales* in Neston over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £279,471 more expensive than nearby Chester (£210,294), but was cheaper than Heswall (£281,044). Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £160,083 and terraced properties averaged at £152,657..In the past year house prices in Neston were 4% up on the year before. This compares with Chester at 3% growth and Heswall at the same level as last year. Neston represents nice niche market for the canny buyer whether you are looking for a home or an investment.
